Child and Teen Check-Ups
Keeping Children and Teens Healthy
You don’t need to wait until your child is sick to see the doctor! Regular health checks keep children healthy.

Public Health provides outreach for the preventative healthcare program, Child and Teen Checkups (C&TC). Minnesota’s C&TC Program entitles children and teens up through age 20, who are enrolled in Medical Assistance or Minnesota Care to receive the benefit of Child and Teen Checkups through their own healthcare provider.

The checkups include:
  • A complete physical exam
  • Developmental screening
  • Hearing and Vision checks
  • Lab tests, including lead testing
  • Immunizations
  • Information on good physical and emotional health and nutrition
  • Regular dental checkups (starting at 12 months of age)
  • Referrals to other health specialists, as needed

For more information on how to schedule a C&TC checkup, find a medical home, get transportation or an interpreter for a medical appointment contact the customer service number on the back of your medical ID card or the Washington County C&TC Program.
