County Highway 38 Multi-Use Trail
Beginning on July 12, County Highway 38 (21st St/7th Ave) in the City of Newport will close in the southbound direction between 1st Ave and 20th St. Northbound traffic will be maintained. Please follow posted detour (see map below). The closure is anticipated to run through mid-October.

During construction, Washington County will send out updates on construction activity. The update will provide information on work that happened throughout the project and an update on the schedule. In addition, when applicable, there will be photos, maps, and other information so that residents and business owners can stay informed on the progress.

Project Camera
A camera is placed on-site and takes a picture every 12-14 minutes during the entire construction project. This is a great way to view recent activity and the progress throughout construction.
