  1. Household Hazadous waste collection in Hugo

    October 3, 2020, 8:00 AM - 12:01 PM @ Hugo Public Works Building

    Hazardous materials and electronics will be accepted free-of-charge from households only (no businesses). Proof of residency required. COVID-19 Procedures ? Waste must be in the trunk, rear of SUV, or cargo bed. If necessary, please reorganize your waste. ? Stay in your vehicle unless directed to self-unload large electronics. ? Provide your zip code to the attendant through a cracked window; no driver's license is required. ? Face coverings are required during your visit. ? Electronics weighing more than 50 pounds must be self-unloaded. See attendant for procedures. If you are unable to self-unload at this event, large electronics are unloaded at the Environmental Center in Woodbury. On-site document shredding will also be available. No more than four boxes per customer will be accepted. Shredding capacity is limited and may be reached before the end of the event.

  1. Nooks & Crannies Tour

    October 3, 2020, 11:00 AM - 12:15 PM @ Historic Courthouse

    Explore the areas of the Historic Courthouse that are typically closed off to the public, including the basement, dome, and step inside the 1870’s jail that housed women and juveniles! The history exhibits will be open for viewing at your own pace. Nooks & Crannies tours are held on the first Saturday of the month, May through October. This tour is not handicap accessible and will require bending, stepping over/under low-hanging objects, stair climbing, and walking on uneven floor surfaces. $10 per person Ages 8 and older. Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Participants are asked to wear face masks. Reserve online or call 651-275-7075. Limited availability, a maximum of 6 participants per tour. Reservations are nonrefundable within 14 days of the program date. Proceeds benefit the Historic Courthouse Restoration Fund.
