County Highway 15 (Manning Avenue)

Project Overview

  • Manning Avenue (County Highway 15) from 1,000 feet North of Trunk Highway 96 (Dellwood Road) to 115th Street.

Proposed Improvements

  • Full depth pavement reclamation.
    • A reclamation consists of grinding up the existing pavement (minimum 12 inches) and placing it back down. A portion of the reclaimed material is injected with an asphalt emulsion to strengthen the road base. The stabilized base is then overlaid with 5 inches of asphalt.
    • The reclaim will result in raising the profile of the road by 2 inches. Driveways will be adjusted to provide a transition to the road.
  • Road to remain open to traffic during work; however, drivers should expect delays,   periodic lane closures, and flaggers.
  • During construction, driveways will be ramped with gravel to provide a transition to the roadway.
  • Driveway culvert and roadside ditch cleaning.
  • Some driveway culvert replacements will occur (property owners will be                  contacted prior to beginning work).
  • Centerline culvert cleaning (culverts that cross under the road.
  • Widen the right turn lanes at 97th and 102nd Streets.
  • New signing and  striping.
  • Replace mailboxes.
