Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Too often, unused prescription drugs find their way into the wrong hands, which can be dangerous and often tragic. Washington County is hosting a collection event during National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 23 in Scandia. Clean out your medicine cabinets and bring your old and unused medications for safe and free disposal.

Keep yard waste out of your trash

Washington County residents can bring leaves, grass, brush and tree waste to the Northern Yard Waste Site in Hugo for free. Other options for yard waste include bringing to a private or city-operated drop-off site, having it picked up by your trash hauler during seasonal yard waste collection, or composting at home.
