Washington County Residential Food Scraps (Organics) Drop-Off Suspended Until Further Notice
Due to COVID-19 implications beyond the County’s control, food scraps (organics) drop-off service is temporarily suspended at the Washington County Environmental Center and Northern Yard Waste site until further notice.
The Northern Yard Waste Site will continue to be open to the public, during normal operating hours for yard waste only. Please stay at least 6 feet away from attendants and other customers while visiting the county yard waste site.
We understand the challenge this creates for residents and hope to resume service as soon as is safely possible. We encourage residents to use the tips below in the meantime.

• Try a new food scrap recipe. • Store food properly to decrease the amount of wasted food.
