The continuing construction of a grade-separated intersection at Highway 36 and Manning Avenue will require highway closures in the coming weeks.
The concrete pour for the bridge deck is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, April 22, through noon Saturday, April 23. This will require a full closure of Highway 36 to allow the concrete to gain strength before allowing motorists to drive under the bridge.
Additional closures of Highway 36 are needed for the installation of a storm sewer pipe to connect the ponds on the north and south sides of the highway.
To allow the work, eastbound Highway 36 will be closed at 8 p.m. Friday, April 29, until 5 a.m. Monday, May 2. Westbound Highway 36 will be closed at 8 p.m. Friday, May 6, until 5 a.m. Monday, May 9.
These scheduled closures are subject to change due to weather.
The intersection is in eastern Washington County at the juncture of Stillwater, Stillwater Township, Grant, and Lake Elmo.
