Vendors sought for 150th anniversary celebration at Washington County Historic Courthouse

Washington County is accepting applications from non-profits, service organizations, and for-profit vendors to provide food sales, craft sales, children’s games, and activities at the 150th  Anniversary Celebration 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at the Historic Courthouse in Stillwater.

This free, family-oriented event is projected to draw more than 1,000 visitors and will take place on the grounds of the courthouse at 101 Pine St. W., Stillwater. This is a rain or shine event.

Suggested vendor ideas are popcorn, vintage-style candy, handmade crafts, historical demonstrations, old-fashioned children’s games, history-based activities, lawn games, etc.

Note that all food sales (except individually wrapped product such as chips and canned or bottled beverages) require a valid food-handling license issued by the Washington County Department of Public Health and Environment or the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.

The Historic Courthouse will sell hot dogs, chips, and pie. Washington County Public Health and Environment will provide bottled water.

Water and electricity are available. A table will be provided to those groups who request one in

advance. No table linens are available. Set-up must be completed by 10:30 a.m. and tear down

completed by 4 p.m. Special arrangements may be made for a Sunday morning tear down of

larger items like tents.

The application, which can be found on the county website at by searching “150th Anniversary at the Historic Courthouse,” must be returned by May 19. A variety of organizations will be selected to provide a balanced array of products and activities.
