The Department of Public Health and Environment convenes the Washington County Water Consortium to work on surface and groundwater issues that cross local governmental boundaries. The consortium is an ad hoc organization of representatives from watershed districts, joint powers agreement water management organizations, cities and townships, the Washington Conservation District, county departments, state and regional agencies, and interested citizens.
Meetings
The group meets approximately 8 times a year, on the first Wednesday of the month, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. There is typically no consortium meeting in the months of January, April, July or October, unless otherwise posted.
