The Department of Public Health and Environment is responsible for the prevention and control of illnesses caused by the improper storage, handling, preparation, and serving of food. This is done by the regulation of food establishments and providing food safety information to the public.
Report a Concern
If you suspect that you have become ill from food or have a concern about a food service establishment, contact the Department of Public Health and Environment or go to Report Your Concern. You can also report through the Minnesota Department of Health Foodborne Illness Hotline at 1-877-FOOD-ILL (1-877-366-3455).
