Summer Education Transportation Reimbursement
The Summer Education Transportation Reimbursement Program is to help reduce the educational disparities for children in Washington County by making educational and learning programs more accessible.
- Parents/guardians of children, 18 years or younger, who are receiving services from Washington County can receive reimbursement for transportation and/or assistance setting up transportation to educational programs that are focused on core skills (reading, writing, math, science).
- An adult must travel with all minors under the age of 18.
Timeline: June 1st, 2022 through September 9th, 2022
Any Washington County child (18 years or younger) receiving ANY kind of human service, public health or community corrections program.
Any Washington County child who has a case manager or is receiving some type of on-going service (Community Services, Community Corrections, Public Health etc.).
Eligible activities: STEM, reading, math, language tutoring, core skill development, ACT prep
Ineligible activities: Arts, recreation, and leisure programming
Request reimbursement for transportation expenses to and from educational events:
- Trips to appropriate educational events with proper documentation (trip details from ride sharing, receipts etc.) can be reimbursed.
- Reimbursements will be made in cash cards.

Parents/guardians who cannot financially afford to pay for out-of-pocket transit costs can request a ride sharing service in advance of educational events.
- Rides will be scheduled through Uber/Lyft with 48 hour notice.
- An adult must travel with all minors under the age of 18.
