Household Sharps

Sharps like syringes, needles, and lancets from households are accepted at the Environmental Center. Loose sharps are not accepted. 

Please follow these preparation steps:

• Place sharps (point first) in a rigid container such as a plastic laundry detergent bottle, coffee can with the lid taped shut, or sharps container.
• Label the container “Do not recycle: household sharps.”
• Keep sharps containers separate from all other waste.
• When you arrive, inform staff that you have sharps for disposal.
