Driving With Care - Level II Education

Program Description

Driving With Care (DWC) is a cognitive skills education program for clients convicted of driving with a blood alcohol level beyond the legal limit and/or while under the influence of another drug. DWC gives clients the knowledge and skills needed to change their thinking so they may change their actions and prevent future DWI/ DUI behaviors. DWC is facilitated by a Probation Officer trained in the curriculum.

DWC Level II is a 12-lesson, 24-hour education program with goals to:

Understand DWI/DUI laws
  • Prevent recidivism of a DWI/DUI.
  • Prevent relapse of a harmful pattern of alcohol and other drug use.
  • Develop responsible living for one’s self and the community.
  • Develop positive change.
  • Maintain a commitment to oneself and society to never drink and drive.

Program Details

Once a week for 3 months at two locations.
  • 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Washington County Government Center in Stillwater, 14949 62nd Street North, Stillwater, MN 55082
  • 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Washington County Cottage Grove Service Center, 13000 Ravine Parkway South, Cottage Grove, MN 55016
Cost: $360

* Full payment is requested prior to the first class; however, a two-part payment plan is available upon request.
** Clients will pay half of the fee at the first class and the second half upon check-in of the sixth class.
