Dislocated Worker Program

Dislocated Worker Team Photo Oct 2015.jpg The dislocated worker program is available to individuals who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own. During times of economic stability, markets and fields change, businesses expand and contract and jobs are outsourced to foreign markets. The dislocated worker program is an important resource to help workers in a stable economy but it is a vital tool during times of economic downturn.

In our recovering economy the demands on our program continue to remain high, illustrating the challenges job seekers face in today's labor market. The dislocated worker program provides job search services, career counseling, and training options that help reduce our customers' time in job search and achieve employment in our current economy.

Our dislocated worker team was recently awarded the "Exceptional Performance by a Team" award for 2013 from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.

Their goal is to help dislocated workers return to the workforce as quickly as possible with a wage comparable to the wage they were earning in their previous job. They help their customers to achieve training in occupations that are in demand, close the skills gap and revitalize the prospect of long-term employment.
