Open Stage: New this year, the open stage portion is replacing the previous held talent show. The format is open for all performing arts (musicians, singers, actors, dancers, poets and comedians). There will be a limited number of performance time slots available on a first-come first-serve basis in three categories: youth, teen and adult. Participants must come prepared with their own instrument/s or other accompaniments, costumes, etc. and supporting tech such as iPod, CD. All music files must be a personal hard copy and contain no vocals (no music, etc., will be accepted).

Our hired sound technician will provide a CD player, iPod cable, microphones (up to 4) with stands, full-size digital piano, chairs and music sheet stands. No drum kit available or allowed. All performances are limited to five (5) minutes or less with a maximum group size of 6 people. The stage is 16’x20’ with a rubber mat surface; if rain, the stage will be a wood floor of the same dimensions inside the courtroom. All performances must be family-friendly. There will be no prizes awarded, just loud cheers and high fives!

To participate, registration will begin at 4:30 p.m. near the stage. All minors will be required to have a parent/guardian sign a photo/liability waiver at time of registration. We will be collecting the following information: performer/s name, age, city they live, name of piece to be performed, time length along with verifying supporting performance media. Washington County Parks reserves the right to deny anyone who does not meet all of the above criteria at time of registration.

The ice cream social event is free and open to the public. In the event of rain, the event will adapt and move indoors. In the event of inclement weather the Ice Cream Social will be cancelled.

Thank you to our local event sponsors Candyland, Edina Realty, Leo’s Grill and Malt Shop, Lift Bridge Brewing Co., Lumberjack Days, the Washington County Historical Society and Washington County.
