Experience outdoor winter recreation opportunities in a 2,165 acre park reserve. All vehicles entering the park will need to have a valid Washington County Parks vehicle permit.  

Activities at the Nordic Center - Cross County Ski Lessons

Just beginning on classic skis? Come learn how to glide without shuffling! Skate skiers, make your move to the next hill. Helpful downhill survival techniques, "how to get up the next hill" and many more useful ski knowledge will be demonstrated.

Already an Intermediate skier?
Let us help you lengthen your glide on both classic and skate skis, or, how about some work on hill climbing or new skate techniques you haven't tried yet - like V2 and Field Skate?

Advanced skiers
, need some help honing your techniques for more efficiency? We'll show you how to work the trail for better performance or how to do transitions and technique variations.

Please make your reservations for lessons directly with Ride and GlideJoin us at the Nordic Center and plan to arrive early to sign-in before your desired time. You are encouraged to bring your own equipment. 

Register with Ride and Glide Ski Club for XC Ski lessons and Fat Bike Demos times. (XC skiers must be 14+ years of age). Select the Lake Elmo Clinic.
A Washington County Ski Pass is required to ski in Washington County Parks (age 16 and over). Ski Passes can  be purchased online, by phone or at the Lake Elmo Park contact station (ski passes are not required for snowshoeing).

Activities at the Nordic Center - Eagle Point Trailhead

  • Free use of Snowshoes - park users may check-out a pair of snowshoes to explore on their own for 1 hour or participant on a snowshoe scavenger hunt
  • Learn how to kick-sled
