Come Play and Explore
Playing free in the outdoors is one of the greatest joys of childhood. Washington County Parks provide play structures, ball fields, open fields, beaches, and woods to keep youngsters moving and intrigued for many hours of play.
Play areas are available at the following Washington County Parks locations:
Big Marine Park Reserve
Come Ride the Slide!
There is a large "destination" play area in the park that is actually two play areas installed in one general location. The gigantic creative playground is a favorite for children of all ages. The highly accessible playground features a towering 18-foot slide, a colossal climbing rock, and a 20-foot geodesic climbing web.
Cottage Grove Ravine Regional Park*
Swing, Slide, or Ride!
Nestled in the 506 acres of Cottage Grove Regional Park is a sprawling play area with many slides, bridges, swings and more. The playground is conveniently located close to the picnic shelter with restrooms and many hiking trails.

Lake Elmo Park Reserve
Come play the day away!
There are several play areas located throughout Lake Elmo Park Reserve. The largest "destination" play area is actually four separate play areas installed in one general location. There are slides, swings, tunnels, and more!
Each of the two reservation picnic areas also has a play area, and the campground has one, too.
St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park
Sports & Play Areas
A ball field, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, a half basketball court, and two tennis courts are located in the picnic area. A large play structure is also located in the picnic area. This is handicapped accessible.
