In an effort to provide a safe environment for the public and our employees, passport services are available by appointment. Walk-in customers may be accommodated on a limited basis. We will do our best to serve you depending on capacity and appointment cancellations.

Passport Renewals


Passport services are available at the Cottage Grove Service CenterForest Lake Service CenterStillwater License Center.

 The U.S. Department of State Passport Services requires you to renew your passport by mail if it meets eligibility requirements. If your passport is eligible for renewal by mail, you cannot renew it at our service centers. If your passport is not eligible for renewal by mail, you can apply at one of our service centers by following the steps for obtaining a passport

Passport Photographs


Passport photos are available at our service centers for a fee of $15 (Cash or Check payable to Washington County). One 2 by 2 inches photograph, meeting a variety of specific requirements, is required in order to obtain or renew a passport.
