Certified Food Protection Manager 

A certified Food Protection Manager is required for food establishments. They are required to obtain four hours of continuing education in food safety every 36 months. A four hour food safety training seminar is hosted by the department in October of each year. This course meets the continuing education requirements.
 
Certified Food Protection Manager Courses are held in various locations throughout the state. For a list of courses, visit the course listings at the Minnesota Department of Health. Taking the certification course is the first step to becoming a State of Minnesota Certified Food Protection Manager. Application must be made to the state for registration.
