Recycling Container Loan

Borrow a Recycling Container from the County

The Department of Public Health and Environment provides recycling containers on loan for collecting bottles and cans at small, single-day gatherings such as graduation parties, family reunions, block parties, and similar events. The recycling containers fold down for easy transport and storage. Extra bags are provided and each holds up to 200 mixed bottles and cans. Bags of recyclables may be emptied into your curbside recycling bin (place the plastic bag in the trash) or taken to the Environmental Center’s recycling drop-off in Woodbury during business hours.

Get a Container

• Complete our Online Reservation Form. 
• Provide 3 days advance notice as container loans are popular in the summer months.  Container reservations are made on a first come, first served basis.
• Pick up the containers at Stillwater Government Center - Room 4600 or the Washington County Environmental Center in Woodbury. 

Before returning the container, sanitize the containers with the provided cleaning materials. Return the containers to the same site collected from no later than the date indicated on the reservation form.
