Right of Way Permits

Right of Way Permits are required for utility installations (including private sewer and water connections), for grading in the County right of way, or for work which obstructs the right of way.

Washington County Right of Way Ordinance (No. 154) governs work within the right of way.

Right of Way Permit fees are as follows:
Utility Service	$25
Utility Distribution	$100
Non-Utility Excavation (no open cut of roadway)	$100
Obstruction of Roadway	*

*Applicable permit fee plus Obstruction Fee, determined by the Transportation Division.

In addition to the applicable fees, a refundable deposit or bond may be required.

The amount of the deposit is determined on a case-by-case basis.
