Obstruction permits are available for parades, running or cycling races, exhibitions, festivals that require closing or restricting traffic temporarily on County roads. An Annual Obstruction permit is required for all utiltiy companies performing maintenance on their facility.
These permits are issued jointly by the Transportation Division and Sheriff's Office. Please allow at least 2 weeks for processing.
The main purpose of an obstruction permit is to provide standards for traffic control to ensure the safety of participants and the traveling public.
There is no fee for an obstruction permit, but the cost of traffic control is the responsibility of the permit holder.
