Certificates of Compliance are required for all building within shoreland areas and for the construction of accessory buildings. Grading permits are necessary for land alteration and grading of fifty (50) cubic yards or more and/or the disturbance of land areas of 1,000 square feet or more.
Applications for variances to the Washington County Development Code, Lower St. Croix River Bluffland and Shoreland Management Regulations, Shoreland Management Regulations and Floodplain Regulations and applications for Mining Permits, Subdivisions and Conditional Use Permits, Certificates of Compliance and Grading Permits can be obtained at the Survey and Land Management Division, 14949 62nd Street North, Room 350, P.O.
