2010 Metro Adult Health Survey
The Metro Adult Health Survey is a regional, coordinated public health effort to provide standard and comparable health data for the metro region of Minnesota. Results from this survey provide county-specific, baseline data on health risk behaviors and the overall health status of adult residents in six metro area counties - Anoka, Carver, Dakota, St. Paul-Ramsey, Scott, and Washington.
2010 Metro Adult Health Survey Data Book
Findings from the Metro Adult Health Survey will be used to:
- Identify priorities and opportunities for new and on-going initiatives to support health and reduce obesity.
- Provide evidence to support policy recommendations, positive environmental and system changes that increase physical activity, healthy eating, and reduction of tobacco use and exposure.
- Increase public awareness of ways communities, organizations and employers can be involved in supporting healthy lifestyles of adults.
The Metro Adult Health Survey was made possible through funding from the Statewide Health Improvement Program (SHIP) through the Minnesota Department of Health. SHIP aims to improve the health of Minnesotans by reducing tobacco use and exposure and obesity through policy, systems and environmental change strategies.
