Infectious Diseases
The mission of the Washington County Public Health Disease Prevention and Control Team is to reduce the spread and limit the adverse effects of infectious diseases within our community. Some of the services we provide include:
- Disease Surveillance and Investigations
- Including foodborne illnesses, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis A and B, and vaccine preventable diseases (pertussis, mumps, measles).
- Immunizations
- Tick-Borne Diseases
- Tuberculosis (TB) Case Management and Direct Observed Therapy (DOT)
- Refugee Health Screening Referrals
- Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention
- Public health Emergency Preparedness Planning
- Including avian and pandemic influenza and bioterrorism preparedness.
