Choosing the Right Car Seat
The best and safest restraint for any child is one that fits your child's size and weight, fits in your vehicle tightly, and will be used correctly every time.

Look for a certification label on safety seats that shows the seat meets or exceeds Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 213 (FMVSS 213).
If your safety seat is more than 6 years old, or has been involved in a crash - or if you don't know, the seat should be replaced.
