Asthma Home Visits for Children
Confused about how to manage asthma? Wonder how to make homes asthma friendly? Families of young children in all metro counties may qualify for asthma home visits.
Home visits include a pulmonary assessment, environmental trigger assessment, and education. A certified asthma educator from Pediatric Home Service (PHS) will be available to work with families. Home visits may be paid for through health insurance or other qualifying funds.
Referrals may come from family members, schools, clinics or parish nurses and other community members. Families may call directly to Pediatric Home Service (PHS) to request a home visit. PHS will assist with any insurance questions and obtaining a doctor's order.
