Early Intervention services are available to children with special needs beginning at birth.
Early Intervention Network Is...
- For families in Washington County who have children under three years of age with special needs.
- The central point of contact for families to find, choose, and make the most of available resources.
- Available at no cost to families. Early Intervention Network is federally funded.
Early Intervention Network Can Help You...
- If your child is under three years of age and you have concerns or questions about your child's development.
- If you would like to find out what kind of services and resources are available to you.
- If you would like support in putting together a plan of services for your child.
- If your child is eligible for special services, and you would like support to coordinate the services you use.
Early Intervention Services May Include...
- Information about child development.
- Information about a child's special needs and/or diagnosis.
- Developmental assessment.
- Help with the development of a plan (Individualized Family Service Plan - IFSP).
- Information and/or referral to other community agencies.
- Home-based services.
- Parent-child together activities.
- Collaboration with parents, physicians, public health nurses, County service providers, teachers, child care providers, or others as the family chooses.
- Service coordination for children to age three
