Children's Environmental Health - Asthma/Indoor Air Quality
The prevalence of asthma has risen dramatically in the past few decades. Asthma is becoming more common among children. Asthma affects quality of life and can be life threatening. There is no cure for asthma, but often it can be controlled with medication. Identifying, reducing or removing environmental triggers will also make a difference. If you or a loved one has asthma, talk to a doctor about medication. Discuss possible environmental triggers, to help with asthma control. You and your provider should develop an Asthma Action Plan to help prevent and control asthma attacks.
