General Information
Cottage Grove Ravine Regional Park has seen many changes over the past few years; including the addition of over 2 miles of paved trails, a fishing pier, and the construction of the South Service Center. It's a park that is rapidly growing in popularity.
In response to these and other changes, the Washington County Parks Division has recently completed a new master plan for the park. The planning process has reviewed the existing master plan and current development; evaluated prospective new program areas; and investigated potential trail connections to the park. An updated master plan document has now been prepared that identifies the future course of development and natural resource management within the park.
The first public meeting was held on December 5th, 2006, where valuable input was received from those in attendance. Since then, meetings have also been held with the Cottage Grove City Council, Washington County Park and Open Space Commission, and Washington County Board of Commissioners. A second public meeting was held on March 29, 2007.
A public hearing was held in regard to the master plan on Tuesday, June 26, 2007; where the Washington County Board of Commissioners adopted the plan. The plan has been forwarded to the Metropolitan Council where it is scheduled for review by Council's Park and Open Space Commission on September 11, the Council's Community Development Committee on September 17 and the Metropolitan Council on September 26.

The following master plan document was presented at a public hearing on Tuesday, June 26, 2007, where the Washington County Board of Commissioners adopted the plan.
The version provided below is low resolution to make downloading it easier. Because of this, some of the maps in the document may be difficult to read. A higer resolution version of the master plan's proposed development map, however, is also provided below.
