Event and Meeting Facilities

Washington County Parks Division offer many different facilities that provide venues for activities from family picnics to formal weddings. 

The Conference Cottage is located within the 579-acre St. Croix Bluffs Regional Park. It was originally a summer residence built by Tomas Farr Ellerbe, a nationally known architect. Visitors can enjoy the beauty he helped preserve of woodlands and ravines that cut through high bluffs to the scenic shores of the St. Croix River.

The Conference Cottage of the St.Croix is ideal for business meetings and small social events. It serves as a retreat to "recharge the batteries" of work groups. The cottage overlooks the scenic St. Croix River. It has all the amenities needed for successful off-site meetings and seminars. Take advantage of this unique facility in a beautiful location. The Courtroom in the Historic Courthouse is a wonderful and popular location for weddings and other gatherings.  It overlooks the St. Croix River and  the "steeple city of Stillwater. More Info.

 

Picnic Shelters are located at different locations thoughout the Washington County Parks System. 

Hours: 9 a.m. - 1/2 hour after sunset

Reservations:  Picnic Shelters can be reseserved by stopping into the park office or by telephone.  Shelters can be reserved mid-May until mid-October.  Payment must be received within two weeks of making the reservation or no later than two days before arrival, whichever is earlier. Rental fee is not refundable if cancellation is made less than 14 days prior to the date of use.

Fees:  Vehicle permits are required on each motorized vehicle. 

Damage Deposit:  A $100 damage deposit check is required for all picnic shelter rentals.  The check will be returned upon compliance with conditions of shelter use and park rules. 

Other Info:

  • Pets are not allowed.
  • Limited quanities of beer and wine are allowed.
  • Driving on grass is prohibited.
  • Water may not be available after Oct. 1.
  • A 100-gallon beverage cooling tank may be rented (ice is NOT included).
  • A Picnic Kit may be rented when you rent a shelter. The kit contains bocce ball set, Frisbee™®, horseshoes, softball equipment, and volleyball.
