The demand for library services continues to grow in these tough economic times. The Library's 2010 budget will allow us to continue to provide the basic core services our residents have come to expect; however, there are several special projects recently approved by the Library Board that are not included in our 2010 budget. To make them a reality we are seeking private donations for:
An outdoor sign at the Lakeland Plaza for the Valley Library -- $5,000
Additional children’s books -- $10,000
Additional large print books -- $10,000
In 2009, slightly more than one million people visited the nine branch libraries located throughout the county. 23,944 children and adults participated in children’s programs. 22,124 attended meetings, participated in book clubs, or studied in our public meeting rooms.
Citizen contributions can help us achieve our goal of raising an additional amount of $25,000. Please consider making a donation.
