Washington County Library has been selected to receive the We the People “A More Perfect Union” Bookshelf, a collection of classic books for young readers -- to encourage and strengthen the teaching, study, and understanding of American history and culture. The We the People Bookshelf is a project of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) We the People program, conducted in cooperation with the American Library Association (ALA) Public Programs Office.

The Collectors' Corner Neighborhood Trading Post at the R. H. Stafford Library in Woodbury encourages children of all ages to explore their natural surroundings and learn about the objects they discover. The Trading Post is a collaborative effort of Washington County Library and the Science Museum of Minnesota.
