Summer Reading Kickoff Event: "Pete the Cat" Author at WCL

12 noon, Saturday, June 9, R. H. Stafford Library, Central Park Amphitheater
"Pete the Cat" author Eric Litwin visits WCL to help kick off summer reading activities. Everybody will be rockin' to the "Pete the Cat" lyrics and more. Books will be available for sale and signing by the author. Tickets required. Free tickets will be available on a first-come basis at all Washington County Library branches beginning May 8.

Free and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served. Doors open 45 minutes in advance of the program and books will be available for sale. Funded by Minnesota’s Legacy Amendment Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.




Score MN: Business startup counseling at R. H. Stafford Library
First and third Tuesdays of every month, 2:30-6 p.m.
St. Paul SCORE MN and the R. H. Stafford Library are partnering to provide free counseling on all aspects of small business start-up management. Volunteer counselors from the small business community provide one-on-one confidential counseling at the library. No registration.


 
Free legal workshops scheduled at various locations throughout the county are presented by a volunteer lawyer and offer participants quality legal information and resources. The Collectors' Corner Neighborhood Trading Post at the R. H. Stafford Library in Woodbury encourages children of all ages to explore their natural surroundings and learn about the objects they discover. The Trading Post is a collaborative effort of Washington County Library and the Science Museum of Minnesota. Hours are Tuesdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
