Washington County VSQG Waste Disposal Program
The Washington County VSQG Collection Program offers an option especially suited for disposal of small amounts of hazardous waste. The program provides a convenient waste disposal service to businesses that are Very Small Quantity Generators (VSQG) or are one-time only generators of hazardous waste.
The program is open to any business or VSQG in Washington County that generates less than 220 pounds (approximately 22 gallons) of hazardous waste per month. Past participants have included painting contractors, building contractors, automotive shops, printers and nonprofit organizations, such as churches.
The program is intended for VSQG's which have small amounts of unique types of wastes that are generated infrequently. These wastes may be difficult or expensive to manage properly using services typically offered by private companies. Washington County offers this service to assist these VSQG's, but at the same time not compete with companies that offer disposal services.
The program is easy to use and affordable. See
