Common Offenses Committed by Juveniles
Domestic Violence
It is a crime for any family or household member, including a child under the age of 18, to commit an act with intent to cause fear in another of immediate bodily harm or death or intentionally inflict or attempt to inflict bodily harm upon another.
Minor Alcohol Consumption
It is illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to consume an alcoholic beverage unless it is consumed in the household of the minor’s parent and with the parent’s consent.
Minor Alcohol Possession
It is illegal for anyone under the age of 21 to possess an alcoholic beverage with the intent to consume it at a place other than their parent’s household.
Curfew Violation
All children under the age of 18 who live in a township within Washington County must abide by the County Curfew Ordinance, which prohibits minors being present in a public place between the hours of 1 and 5 a.m.

Any of these offenses, as well as all crimes committed by juveniles in Washington County, can result in the child being charged and brought before a Juvenile Court Judge to be given appropriate consequences if proven guilty.
