Veterans Service Office

Mission Statement and Description of Services

The Washington County Veterans' Service office provides assistance and support to veterans and their dependents in obtaining potential benefits from the State of Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs and Federal Department of Veterans Affairs. We also advocate on behalf of the veteran and their dependents or direct them to other authorized agencies or providers as their need dictate.

OFFICE HOURS - Effective December 5, 2011

 

Stillwater: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday

Cottage Grove: 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Tuesdays & Fridays

Some of the benefits include: assisting veterans in obtaining their military discharge (DD Form 214 or equivalent document); filing claims for Federal Veterans Administration (VA) disability benefits; assisting veterans enrolling in the VA Healthcare system; filing for Minnesota State benefits.
