Washington County Development Code - Chapter 6 - Washington County Shoreland Management Ordinance setting forth the designation of suitable land use districts for each body of public water, regulation of the placement of sanitary and waste treatment facilities on lots, the area of a lot and length of water frontage suitable for building sites, the alteration of shoreland of public waters, the alterations of the natural vegetation and the natural topography along shoreland to conserve natural resources and maintain a high standard of environmental quality, preserve and enhance the quality of surface water, preserve the economic and natural environmental values of shoreland, provide for the utilization of water and related land resources, maintain water quality, reduce flooding and erosion, to provide food and habitat for a variety of fish and wildlife.  Repeals Ordinance No. 106 together with all amendments thereto.  Chapter 6 of the County Development Code for Washington County, Minnesota. Washington County Brown's Creek Water Management Tax District.  (Placing certain legally described property in a watershed management tax district.)  Washington County, acting as the water management organization for the Brown's Creek Watershed District may annually levy a tax on all taxable property in the Brown's Creek Watershed Management Tax District for the purposes for which this tax district is established. (Placing certain legally described property in T29N, R20W; T29N, R21W; T30N, R20W; T30N, R21W; T31N, R20W; and T31N, R21W in the established tax district.)  The proceeds of the tax shall be paid into a fund reserved for these purposes.  (Resolution No. 97-090)

Washington County 2015 Comprehensive Plan, dated April 22, 1997 and effective after October 1, 1997 after its publication according to law.  Repeals the Comprehensive Plan adopted 01/04/1983.  The 2015 Comprehensive Plan is an official document, adopted by the County Board as a policy guide to the decisions about the physical development of the County.  The Plan sets broad policies and guidelines to direct future growth and development in the following areas:  Land Use, Transportation, Recreation and Open Space, Housing, Natural Resources, Cultural Resources and County Facilities.
