Snowshoe/XC Ski Lessons

Experience Snowshoeing!
Led by a naturalist from Warner Nature Center. Participants will learn more about the ancient art of snowshoeing while improving their well-being in nature. Meets at the Snowshoe Shack in the Eagle Point Trailhead Lot.

Class size is limited; registration is required. To register call 651-430-8370
There will be two programs per day. Participants can register for one or both. The cost is $5/person per class; all equipment is provided. Please dress for the weather and bring water/snacks. All participants must be 9 years of age or older and under parental supervision.

The program will meet in the Eagle Point Trailhead parking lot (At the Snowshoe Shack).

The instructor will have all the equipment ready for you at the Snowshoe Shack located on the South-West end of Eagle Point Trailhead Parking Lot.

Weather Cancellations
Class will be cancelled in the case of inclement weather and/or windchill temperatures at -10°. You can reschedule your class if cancelled due to weather by calling 651-430-8370.

Winter Sundays "Sing-A-Long" at the Nordic Center (Across from Eagle Point)
Sing-a-longs led by a group of St Croix Valley musicians will meet Sundays from 4-6 pm at the Nordic Center. Light refreshments served 4-4:30, followed by a different era of music to sing along with each time. Free!

Be prepared for the cross country ski season by referring to the Trails page. There are park trail maps and the Trails Twitter feed. Follow Washington County Parks on Twitter for current cross country ski trail and snow reports.

Washington County Parks does not make snow or rent winter recreational equipment.

Opportunities to winter hike, snowshoe and dog walk are available on select trails within the Washington County Parks system. These activities should not take place on groomed cross country ski trails. For more information, contact one of the park offices.

MN Ski Pass
A MN Ski Pass is required to ski in Washington County Parks (age 16 and older). Purchase MN Ski Passes online, by phone or at the Lake Elmo Park contact station (ski passes are not required for snowshoeing).
